Artist Statement

I make art to understand myself and the world around me. My works vary from the extremely introspective and personal to highly political comments on what I see happening today. I find that I need to go between these two nodes to keep sane.

Several of my works revolve around my rooms, my homes. A home as a place, as a construction, as remembrance. I have moved a lot during my years, 25+ times, so this is something that continues to irk me. I explore memories and motives by way of reproductions and reconstructions. By different crafts and techniques I strive to reach my feelings, to interpret thoughts in a literal way.
